Surly Pugsley Fork Recall

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Surly Bikes has voluntarily issued a safety recall on its 2012 and 2013 model-year Pugsley bicycle forks because the fork legs can bend posing a fall hazard to riders. The recalled forks were sold both individually and on complete Pugsley bicycles between May 2012 and February 2013. Date codes can be found on the steerer tube. Affected forks include:

Black 100mm Pugsley forks with a date code: 2012 03 20 (sold individually)
Black, Yellow, and Red 135mm Pugsley forks with a date code: 2012 06 09 (sold individually and as part of complete Pugsley bicycles)

Model numbers of affected forks:
FK3175, FK3181, or FK0706 is printed on the packaging for forks sold individually.
FM3110-3114, FM3175-79, BK3110-14, and BK3175-79 is printed on the packaging of bicycles with the recalled forks as original equipment.

The remedy
If you have one of these forks (see photo below), please stop riding it immediately and return it to your nearest authorized Surly retailer for a free replacement fork or refund.
